Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of the DemoSnitch browser extension, website and API (together, the “Service”). By installing the extension or signing in you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. The Service is operated by DemoSnitch, Poland (“we”); contact: hello@demosnitch.com. Paid report packages are sold by Lemon Squeezy (Link, LLC, USA) as the merchant of record, which issues your receipt and handles taxes, refunds and chargebacks under its own terms.
1. What DemoSnitch does — and does not do
DemoSnitch analyses the official demo of a finished FACEIT CS2 match, finds moments where a player you selected used abusive voice chat, and renders a short evidence video with that player’s voice and English subtitles. You may use the video to support a report to FACEIT.
We do not decide anything about the reported player. DemoSnitch does not ban, penalise or contact anyone. Whether and how FACEIT acts on your report is entirely up to FACEIT. Automated transcription and classification can be wrong: always review the video before submitting a report, and submit only what you believe to be accurate.
DemoSnitch is an independent project and is not endorsed by or affiliated with FACEIT or Valve.
2. Eligibility and account
You must have a FACEIT account and meet FACEIT’s minimum age. You sign in with Steam; you are responsible for activity under your Steam account. One account per person.
3. Acceptable use
You agree to use the Service only to document conduct in matches you took part in, for reporting to FACEIT. You must not:
- use evidence videos to harass, threaten, dox or publicly shame anyone, or post them outside of a report to FACEIT or to people directly involved in the match;
- edit videos to misrepresent what was said, or submit reports you know to be false;
- report players from matches you did not participate in, or mass-report to disrupt the platform;
- attempt to access other users’ data, circumvent credit or rate limits, or interfere with the Service.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these rules, without refund of unused credits where the breach is deliberate.
4. Credits, pricing and refunds
- One credit = one report. A report renders up to 3 clips into one video, regardless of how many moments are found.
- Automatic refunds. If the analysis finds nothing to flag (a “clean” result) or fails for a reason on our side, the credit is returned to your account automatically.
- No refund for a successfully rendered report, even if you consider the flagged moments too mild — the automated classifier has a threshold, not a judgement. If a rendered video is clearly unusable, contact us and we will review it case by case.
- Purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy, the merchant of record. Prices are shown in the extension at the time of purchase and include applicable VAT. Credits are a prepaid licence to use the Service; they are not money, carry no interest and are not transferable.
- Daily limits apply to prevent abuse of automatic refunds. They are shown in the extension and are higher for accounts with a completed purchase.
- Withdrawal right. By purchasing credits you request immediate performance of a digital service and acknowledge that your statutory 14-day right of withdrawal lapses as soon as you start a report after the purchase. A purchase can be refunded in full within 14 days only if no report has been started since it was made; a package from which any credit has been used is non-refundable.
5. Evidence videos
Videos are hosted as unlisted links and are deleted 90 days after creation. Download anything you want to keep. You are responsible for how you use and share a video; see section 3.
6. Intellectual property
The Service, its code and design are ours. You receive a personal, non-transferable licence to use the extension. Game footage belongs to Valve; match recordings are provided by FACEIT. Evidence videos are created for your personal use in reporting and must not be sold.
7. Availability and changes
The Service depends on FACEIT demo availability and on third-party providers. We aim for high availability but do not guarantee it. We may change features, prices (for future purchases) and these terms; material changes will be announced in the extension. If FACEIT changes its platform in a way that makes the Service impossible, we will refund unused credits.
8. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is”. We are not liable for FACEIT’s decisions, for actions of third parties who receive a video from you, or for indirect losses. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable consumer law.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of Poland. If you are a consumer in the EU, you also keep the protections of your country’s mandatory consumer law, and you may use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform.
